Proud to be an American

Wow! I really need to get back to blogging my nail polish!! I did take a break from painting....again.....because my nails were very stained. But after a ton of research I did find a way to remove nail stains which I will share very soon!
Normally, I don't like dressing in all red, white, & blue and putting on all the cliche' American/patriotic outfits, but on my nails....that's a different story.

These patriotic nails were really simple actually. I actually got the ideas from some pinterest posts so go check those out here!
For the red I used Petites "Rock n' Red" for the blue I used L.A. colors color craze in "Wired", for the white I used Confetti "Wedding White" and over the top of the white I did used a glitter polish from Sally Hansen extreme wear called "Disco ball". And of course after I was all done I covered it all in a Sally Hansen topcoat.

I'll be back soon!! I promise!

In a "Frenzy"

So exam week is coming up for me & then I will finally be done with this year of college! So yeah, the name of this nail polish kind of fits with the "frenzy" I'm trying to get projects in, work, take tests, study for finals. Its crazy!
But anyways, back to the nail polish...
This is the first Sinful Colors nail polish I have bought but I was actually very impressed!
I absolutely love glitter nail polish, but this purple and blue glitter was just amazing! For this picture I actually painted 4 coats. I know that sounds like a lot, but I tried it as a top coat over a color and I just didn't like it as much as just the nail polish standing on its own.

Now, to be honest.....this didn't last long (as you can see I already had a few chips on my nails). It pretty much started to chip two days after I painted it. BUT I personally think that the effect & the fun of glitter nail polish is totally worth it!

Summer 'Daze'

I am SO sorry that I have not posted in sooooo long. I took a bit of hiatus...letting my nails breathe, focusing on school & just dealing with life in general!
But I have been painting my nails like crazy recently and decided it was time to start posting again.
This week I have my nails painted with this lime green polish from Nail Fantasies, which does not have a name unfortunately. But, it is obviously just a bright lime green color which I LOVE! One great part about Spring and Summer is the bright, fun colors that we finally get to pull out again!

But just to make it more interesting I added an accent nail by painting only my ring fingers with this Petites 'Daze' which is basically just a green glitter polish. I did have a basecoat of the lime green polish just to make the 'daze' topcoat pop a little bit more!

I am so excited to be back posting my nail colors with you! I can't wait to do more because I seriously love painting my nails, and yes the addiction is becoming stronger!!

Happy New Year!!

For new years I wanted a nail that captured the fireworks & the fun of ringing in a new year! I think this nail is extremely fun....maybe a little bit crazy, but the neutral base coat, I think, makes it much more wearable.

The grey base color is a nail polish that I got at CVS in a holiday pack. Unfortunately they were no-name polishes, no special brand. And another dissapointment was that
they literally had no name! My mom & I enjoyed making up names for them.
This one we called "Coal in Your Stocking."

The super fun glitter nail polish is from Wet n' Wild, it's called "Part of Five Glitters." The coolest thing about it is all the glitter in it, of five different colors & different sizes!

I was pretty happy about how this turned out and the fun part is, the glitter polish will look completely different with just another color base coat! I can't wait to use it again!
